In accordance with applicable legal provisions governing electronic commerce and online communication services in the Republic of Cameroon, the following legal information concerning the Laureats.cm platform is provided for users and visitors.
1. Platform Publisher
The Laureats.cm platform (including the main website laureats.cm, its sub-domains, associated web applications, and custom event domains) is published and operated by:

2. Editorial Management
The management and publishing responsibility of the platform are held by the corporate executive management of Essono Group SARL.

3. Hosting and Network Infrastructure
The Laureats.cm platform runs on containerized software infrastructure deployed on high-availability, secure cloud servers.
Traffic routing, edge caching, content delivery network (CDN) services, and distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) mitigation are managed through the network security infrastructure of Cloudflare, Inc. (101 Townsend St, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA).
Encrypted, high-resilience object storage for candidate imagery and campaign assets is provisioned via Cloudflare R2 storage services.
4. Nature of Service and Financial Intermediation
Laureats.cm operates as a technical software intermediary enabling third-party organizers to launch contests and collect public votes.
Essono Group SARL is neither a bank nor an electronic money issuer. The processing and clearing of Mobile Money and payment card transactions are handled by licensed payment aggregators, specifically Campay, operating in direct coordination with telecommunications providers (MTN Cameroon, Orange Cameroon) and international card networks.
5. Intellectual Property
All proprietary components of Laureats.cm (source code, software interfaces, trademarks, logos, system architectures, and technical documentation) are the exclusive intellectual property of Essono Group SARL or its licensors. Any unauthorized reproduction, reverse engineering, or scraping, in whole or in part, is strictly prohibited.
Contest names, logos, campaign branding, and descriptions remain the intellectual property of their respective organizers. Candidate portrait photos and biographical texts remain the property of their respective creators or rights holders, who have granted the platform a distribution license solely for the duration and scope of the relevant campaign.
6. Notice and Takedown of Unlawful Content
As a technical hosting provider, Essono Group SARL does not maintain prior editorial screening over content, competition titles, or imagery published by organizers and applicants.
Any party identifying content that is defamatory, infringing on intellectual property, unlawful, or contrary to public order should report it promptly to: [email protected].
The notice must include:
- The exact URL of the offending page.
- A clear description of the disputed content and the legal basis supporting its removal.
- The identity and contact details of the notifying party.
Substantiated notices will be investigated promptly and may result in the immediate removal or suspension of the flagged material.
7. Governing Law
This Legal Notice is governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Cameroon. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with the use of the platform shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of Yaoundé.
